Jessica
instructor

Through my career as an occupational therapist, I realized how important the mind-body connection is for health and general wellbeing. Through this and my own personal health journey, I developed a passion for yoga that eventually led me to taking my yoga teacher training at Inspire Yoga Studio in 2024. I recognize the value of regular yoga practice in my life and my hope as a yoga teacher is that I can share this with others through holding a safe and welcoming space to practice. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!

Barb
Instructor

Through my yoga practice, I have discovered that the connection between breath and movement fosters a sense of center and balance.  This journey deepened my understanding of yoga and inspired me to complete my yoga teacher training.  Having navigated through my own health journey, I have found that yoga is a powerful tool for managing anxiety and enhancing mental well-being.  The wellness that I cultivate through this holistic practice has been transformative.  This experience led me to pursue a 40-hour trauma-informed yoga certification, where I learned how to share an inviting atmosphere where all people can feel comfort and support, and that through self-awareness and encouragement, we can develop a deeper connection to ourselves.  As a yoga teacher, my goal is to create a safe and nurturing space for you to embark on your own journey, and to find comfort in your practice. I look forward to joining you on the mat and welcoming you into our shared
space.

Han
Instructor

Han (They/Them)

Meet Han (they/them), a trans non-binary mover and shaker passionate about helping people find ways to move their body in a way that feels good for them.

Hanโ€™s dance education stems from many outlets. They grew up attending dance basic classes like tap, jazz and hip hop, and then later continued dance education all through out high school.

In 2020, Han began to explore intuitive freestyle dancing more and then soon after joined a performative/competitive dance crew called โ€œHopskotchโ€. While being in Brandon may provide fewer opportunities for adults to dance, Han continues to find ways to make movement a part of their everyday.

During their transition, Han found so much healing and comfort in dance when dealing with feelings of depression and body/gender dysphoria. They shifted away from the concept of body positivity and started to move towards body neutrality, deciding to make friends with the vessel that was to carry them through their life.

Hanโ€™s motto when it comes to teaching dance is that movement can be magic when you let it, so hop into a class even if you think you canโ€™t dance, and letโ€™s shake it dolls.

Teresa
Instructor

Han (They/Them)

I have been practicing yoga for 20+ years but my appreciation grew when I lived in Taiwan from 2010-2012. There, I was able to connect with the community, philosophies and take my practice to my next level. I found EFT Tapping in 2023 at a time when I needed help calming my nervous system & moving through life’s ups and downs. I view emotions as visitors who are communicating with us and through recognizing them, I believe we can understand ourselves better. I see the value of moving our body with intention, slowing down to connect to ourselves & the power of our breath. Looking forward to practicing with you!

Karyn
Instructor

Han (They/Them)

As a military spouse for three decades, Karyn is intimately familiar with lifeโ€™s
transitions and pressures. During an overseas relocation in 2016, she anchored
herself in yoga and meditation, discovering a profound wellspring of personal
strength and inspiration. This foundation proved vital in 2019 when she faced her
greatest challenge: navigating the sudden loss of her husband. Through the
depths of grief and trauma, her practice became an essential tool for healing.
Today, Karyn purposefully weaves this lived experience into her teaching, creating
a deeply compassionate, trauma-informed space where others can navigate their
own healing journeys.

She has since completed her Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Facilitator
certificate with the goal to spread the value of a mindfulness practice to her
community. Karyn uses mindfulness, along with simple yoga, breathing and
gratitude practices to improve mental resilience and overall quality of life. Karyn is
excited to share her love of yoga and meditation with the Inspire community. She
is currently attending Brandon University part time and enjoys fun adventures with
her four grandchildren, gardening, creating, reading and travelling

Teresa
Energy Therapy Practitioner, Instructor

As an energy therapy practitioner and instructor, I work with the subtle energy systems of the body to clear blockages, release old patterns, and restore natural flow. My practice blends a range of healing artsโ€”including Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapyยฎ, Access Barsยฎ, chakra and aura work, and both remote and in-person group facilitationโ€”all grounded in compassion, intuition, and sacred presence.

I am currently deepening my work through advanced training with The Four Winds Society, working toward certification as a Master Practitioner of Shamanic Energy Medicine. This earth-honouring lineage adds ancestral depth and luminous healing to my evolving offerings.

Whether youโ€™re stepping into a private healing, a group experience, or a certification training, youโ€™ll receive far more than energy workโ€”youโ€™ll be held, seen, and gently guided back to your authentic, powerful self.
